I've been having issues with my 02 c240 turning on. For a few months the car would randomly turn on fine after the key was turned a few times. Now it is not turning on at all, when I turn thekey i hear 2 slight clicks (sounds like from starter area) I tried swapping the starter relay to no avail and checked all fuses. The car does not attempt to crank and the battery is fully charged. Is this likely a starter issue and should I try to replace the starter and solenoid? When the car started it was started easily and engine was running fine.
Could be the starter but my first inclination would be to look at the battery. When you say fully charged, what is the terminal voltage with the engine off? Anything below 12.0V and the battery needs replacing. How old is the battery?
Thanks for the reply, it's about 3 years old but I was having the intermittent start thing for a long time now. Even after I just got the battery i noticed it once. all the lights windows and everything are at full power. I will grab a multimeter just to confirm the voltage
