Question W203 Sunroof motor gear issue.

I've tried looking everywhere on this site and can't find anything relating to my issue, so I figured I would start a thread in the hopes that some wise and experienced person out there might be able to help me. The sunroof on my '05 c230 has been getting stuck and moving very slowly and "sluggishly", I took the motor out and found the gear to be COMPLETELY RUSTED. I scraped a large majority of the rust off but can't seem to figure out how to take the gear off, I've tried just about everything but I'm scared to use too much force and break the bigger plastic gear that it's connected to. What should I do? The first photo is the entire motor disassembled and the second photo is a closer view of the gear in question.

It looks like a single component that cannot be taken apart without destroying it.

To get the rest of the rust off, I recommend using some rust dissolving solvent. Be sure not to damage the gear teeth.

When reassembling, make sure you use a long life and temperature stable grease. None of that WD-40 stuff.

I find that hard to believe simply because of this ->
Amazon Amazon
If this gear is purchasable, then it must be removable, right? I agree, up close it almost does look like it's one piece but it just doesn't make any sense.

Actually I just realized it doesn't matter whether or not I can take the gear off because the gear is in good condition it was just rust and old gross grease that was causing the issue, I think all I need to do is use the rust dissolving solvent that you mentioned and then grease it up real well like you also mentioned. I should finally be able to enjoy the nice whether without having my windows down! Thanks again mate I really appreciate the help!
