ECU swapping questions
Just purchased an '06 c230. Previous owner sent off the ECU as it was fried to have it repaired. Were told it was not repairable and unfortunately the previous owner never asked for the ECU back. Is there a way to get the ECU model number that originally went into the car so I can purchase a matching one?
Since programming may be an issue without having the original ECU my question is, if I buy the ECU (numbers matching) the EIS, ignition and key as a combo from another MB will that work fine? If so, what exactly needs to be bought together form the same car?
