Free 1k-3k mile service on '05 c230k SS?
Does anyone know what the free 1k-3k mile service on '05's includes? is it worth it to take the care in if i am not having any problems?

I think I heard that they do a quick check of the computer and all fluids to make sure that the car is in good working order after its delivery.

Yes, diagnostic check...take your car regardless...you might not see/hear/think anything is wrong but a properly trained eye might find something else. Why not take it?? to avoid the time out of your day taking it??..better now, be safe..than few months down the road & be sorry.

I have an appointment on Friday for mine, we'll see what they end up doing. According to the woman that set up the appointment for me, it'll take at least half a day, so they'll be giving me a loaner. Oh well...

Also, I thought that they changed the oil as well? I remember they did that with my old w202 when it was new.

Too bad service and parts don't know anything about putting an AUX audio input in, otherwise I could have had that done as well.

It took just 30 mins for mine. 1/2 day may mean before they get to it, but actual service shouldn't take that long.

That's because in service was included on that model. MB had to cut FREE service & maitenance in order to keep price tag down on cars...so they say.
