19 and on your second MB already ? I guess that area really is full of money like elchinocache said, but then again, I'm glad your family has done good !

I don't know where it is but I flew the Mountain Due helicopter doing the traffic watch for KISS FM in LA a couple of summers and I'm sure I've flown over your area many times.

Yes, that's him. I flew for him a while back. He wasn't able to fly because he was sick and I flew the helo while he just sat there giving the traffic report. He's a riot and a real nice guy.

As for the car, I forget that in the states used cars are WAY cheaper than here. You know how much the Import/Luxury tax is on a 2002 SLK320 ???

$18,866 !!!!

Add that to the cost of the car (about $29,000) and the shipping it here ($1,500 from Texas or Florida) and that car can cost you about $49,366 , so you see why I just bought a brand new 2005 C230 !!!

The import/luxury tax was made about 3 years ago and the NEW CAR DEALERS really screwed the used car market. The NEW 2005 C230 only pays $8500 for the tax. That's how they try to keep people only buying new cars and if you want a used one, buy it from someone locally.

My new car cost me around $44,300 with tax, tags and title out the door !!!

Oh sh*t! I hope you really like living in PR! And I thought we Californians had to pay a high premium to live here, what with high state income and sales taxes.

Do you have to pay and Luxury or Registration tax when you registered your new car ? That's where we get hit.

Besides from that...year round summer, no earthquakes, hurricane scares a couple of times a year but only get hit about every ten years (ask Florida, 3 in a month, and they just blew by us), beaches are usable year round and not more than an hour away anywhere you live, Beautiful woman (5 Miss Universe in the last 20 years and many 1st Runner ups), Clear Flying all year long, Tropical Breeze, I mean, why not ?

Nope. There's CA sales tax, which in most places is 8.25%. There's also a car registration fee, but it's only a couple hundred dollars.

Well, we really only major earthquakes every 10-15 years (knock on some *******g wood on that one). But it sounds nice, I should visit some time. Just remind me not to buy any cars while I'm there.
