There is it's called the MB ipod integration kit, i think it's about $200 or more just for the kit and the dealerships charge $400 for kit + install. I drove a GL with the kit and i didn't like my experience with the interface of the ipod when shown on your display. It shows the song but, randomly goes through your music and you have no control over which songs were being picked.

Just finished installing this cable in to my 06. At first I couldn't find the harness as it was tucked to the side of the panel, really difficult to see. I just figured perhaps I was one of unlucky people with no harness. As I was almost ready to give up, I shined a flashlight in there and deep down I caught a glimpse of a black wire so I followed it and lo and behold, there was my harness connector.
Very happy overall. The sound quality is actually better than the iPod integration kits I've heard. Thanks to OP for providing the informative photos.

Hi everyone,
I have a merc E270 CDI avangard 2004 model and I've tried to connect the AUX cable that I bought from MB, but I simply can not find the pre-wired connector. Can anyone help me with that. Really appreciated

I did a search in the entire forum, is there a DIY for a 2001 - 2004 Auxiliary Setup for the iPod? Is this even possible to install in a 2001 - 2004 C240s? (First Generation W203)

True DIY
If you have read all 600 plus threads you must want a Aux Input.
If you have the connector (the white one below the kick panel buried in a maze of wires) as shown in other posts, just buy you a panel mount:mono 1/8" phone jack at radio shack (274-0248) for $3.29. Wire connectors of your choice for 22 gage wire, I used three colors of wire, can be stranded or solid, just to keep track of location. Using a tester of choice find the ground connector on the phone jack and solder a black wire on that terminal. Solder wires on the other two terminals. I used some heat shrink material to cover the soldered connections and the wrapped wires using a portable drill to spin wires together. Using a drill, drill a small hole in the provided knock out space, mount your new phone jack. Run the wires down to the connector area.
I cut the white connector off leaving just four wires. The two black wires must be used as one for best reception. Yellow and green are the audio wires. I didn't record which is which so be sure to test your output using the balance and fade buttons on your radio to make sure you are getting the volume output you are looking for. Remember use the CDC button to activate aux input mode. This was installed on a 05 CLK320 for use with my laptop.

W209, E46 M3 (dead), S54 swapped E46 Touring
I'm having a hard time with this. I recently purchased an aux input cable and am looking for the pre wired connector but can't seem to find anything in between all these wires. I also tried pressing the CD button twice or holding it for 5 seconds to operate the aux mode but no luck. 2004 CLK500 with not command and 10 CD changer

I can't tell if your car is prewired but checking for the connector under the passenger door is really really easy, takes like 5 minutes.
According to this thread, your w209s (CLK 320 and 500) are pretty similar to the w203: http://mbca.cartama.net/showthread.php?p=187499
If the harness isn't there under the passenger door, and you have the Audio20:

you can follow this: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...e-warning.html (I did this yesterday, worked like a charm, spent a few hours though, mostly learning how to take everything apart)

OK so I have a 07 C230 sport and I got the part needed. Now I removed all the parts but no hook up as it shows in the picture. Would it be located somewhere else than maybe. The small hole in the glove box was there but no white connector for the cable. Any ideas guys? ok i see now the last post is for an 07. i will try what he did.

I did the aux mod yesterday and was sucessful! Thanks to everyone on the thread for the info. No more cd cases in the car!
One thing i did have slight trouble with was removing kick panel the after taking the screw out (mine was a phillips btw, not Torx). The kick is held together to the chassis via two "C" shaped clips. You can pull the panel out in the direction away from the passenger side door. If you are facing the screw, pull towards you. Alternativley, you might need to use flatheads to pry it off from the body so you dont crack the panel.
Hopefully this info helps anyone else having trouble out.
