with my accident, the body shop put CLK240. i was all wtf about it. i told them to take it off, and little did i now about MB's mass production of the same badge for any benz. the body shop thought it was wrong (customer is always correct...), so when they reorder the new badge, again they got CLK240. i told them not to add it and just give me the package (which by request i'll take a pic of). i decide a clear look is better for now (i will add it in a week or so, it looks naked to me know...).

Who is he trying to fool, he had a GOLD car, with black plastic handles, and hubcaps.... no skirt, really...

(wonder what the M could be then, Kompressor Means Turbo) i never once said my car has a turbo, thought it had a turbo, or even designated it on my car.

lmao... btw... the 1.8 badges WERE put on the sedans initially when they first came out. Mine came with it off the dealer lot..... I have seen a few others floating around and on ebay that had them as well. Just wanted to clarify so no one went off on some poor bloke like me who has a 2003 C230 sedan with the 1.8 badge on side. haha........
My favorite is a guy who lives on my block.. he got a new 525i and badged it a 550i. People are so lame and insecure..... if you bought it.. then drive it and enjoy it...... who cares what other think.

Since we are on the topic...The other day while comming out of the gym i saw this older (w208??) CLK. It was badged CLK55. BUt something just didnt seem right. Closer look i saw that it was probably a clk320 just rebadged. first of all the body kit didnt seem right. It sure wasnt OEM. no blue tint on windows, no cross drilled brembo brakes on front, it had quad exhaust (ive seen a few clk55, they only have dual). no headlight washers. and the kicker? it had a vanity plater AMG4BOB. i mean wtf, why go through all that trouble, to make a car what is not? i wouldnt be ashamed of driving a clk320! whatever mang..wish i had my camera to take some pics. ill keep my eye peeled next time.

I would let the C4 get away with it (though, to complete the picture, he should badge "SEMTEX" on the other side ). Clearly he's trying to be funny, instead of trying to be a poser. That reminds me. We had a thread going awhile back about how we could rearrange the letters of 'kompressor' and make words out of them. It was kinda fun, though no one I know bothered with it.
Once I saw a w203 C240 with kompressor badged on the other side. Isn't that like taking one step backwards?
And I'm still confused about the 1.8 badges. I don't have one, but my cousin's 2003 coupe does (and no, she didn't add it later). I've seen random 2004 coupes (at least, I assume 2004 with the 17" rims and non-C taillights) with and without. Was it just a dealer thing, or did they run out of 1.8 badges at the factory?

not again w/ the badge thing...LOL
personally I couldn't care less what ppl put on their car, but if I find it funny I'll point and laugh. I don't "hate" ppl that does that like some ppl might do, but it's entertaining to see'em. It's their cars and if they want to look stupid in front of ppl that knows cars who's gonna stop'em. If you've gone all the way to tell them off, you've gone too far because it's none of your business.
I was in Riverside to move some stuff on Saturday and saw a blk C320 w/ the AMG badge on the back while he has the quad exhaust (couldn't tell what brand, but not anything that I've seen) and some nice Brabus rims to go w/ the lowering. I mean nice ride and it looked good, but I would think that the Brabus badge would go better with those huge rims.

My friends and I were at a car show and we all noticed a tricked out blk C, it was badged CL 230 Amg SS kompressor , so some Idoit noticed this as well and decided it was his responsibility to point out and make fun of this persons car, so he tracked down the owner and began the education and humiliation of said persons choice's, I mean he went on and on and on until he had everyones attention at the show as well as the owners friends who preceeded with the owner to beat the shi-t out of this idoit, we stoped these dude's from killing this guy and asked them to leave the show, we then called the police and rescue squad to attend to this persons injuries, we gave a description of the person's and the car to the officers, here's the funny part to this story his badging is what help the police track him down , their had to be at least 10 blk C's in the area including mind's and his badging is what helped to bring him to justice.
I agree with you Frank 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
