Evolutions pedals.

Is the C230 a drive-by-wire? Or is it a standard throttle cable?

My throttle seems to have a 2 position feel. 90% of the travel is smooth and linear, the last bit has a step in it.

Could this be the rubber thingys in the C7 pedals? They have a squishy feel when you stomp on them. A rubbery underfoot feeling isn't what I expected of these racey looking pedals.

Anyone else notice this???

See ya, Smoky

It is a drive by wire throttle. My C7 pedals feel fine, not rubbery, and no catches.

I think I know what it is you are talking about Smokey. Its hard to explain, but I'll try;

If you depress the gas pedal down, it will have a certain resistance until that last 10% of pedal travel, then, the last 10% of travel until it is officially floored, you get a different amount of resistance(slightly greater, but barely perceptable). If just feels different than the first 90% of pedal travel and it gives you a wierd sensation under your foot.

Good observation on the rubber studded C7 pedals, and though I have C7, I don't think this is the cause, because the last amount of pedal travel seems much longer the the height of the studs.

For those of you that like to stomp on it, you probably know this "different" feeling.

if you look under the gas pedal you will see a button. The owners manual refers to it as a kick down button. we pressed it downshifts to the absolute lowest gear availble.

OK -
but what about manual tranny's - mine is a 6-speed so it should not(in thoery) have a kickdown.

i think it could have 2 functions. for the auto it tells it to kick down and to go to wide open throttle and for the manny to go to wide open throttle only.

I've even heard that on some cars the airco is switched off when doing full throttle, to get more HP. Is this also the case vor the C?

Isn't this mentioned in the users manual? I think I recall seeing that somewhere anyway.
