2002 C230 Coupe, Valeo vs. Bosch
I seem to recall way back people having difficulty switching between the Valeo and Bosch alternators on 2002 C230 Coupe.
I have the Valeo, but not sure what the part number is, or if it matters?
Anyone recall anything about this? Can't find any posts on this.

My alternator is Bosch and my voltage regulator is Valeo...
I did have an issue prior to this alternator with another one i swapped it out with what I have now and no issues going on a few years.
I did look up the part # in EPC it gave me both Valeo and Bosch options...

I should clarify. I’ve heard (not confirmed) that the voltage regulator and alternator brand must match, but the brand itself doesn’t matter as they’re both designed to work with the same engine. Guessing the electrical specifications between the brands vary a bit.
