OK, long story short I blasted a deer and then hit a tree going about 35-45 miles per hour.(no i didn't get the meat and the tree obviously won the battle, i walked away with only a sprained wrist and bruised knee thankfully.)

I will start by saying I am in South Carolina USA and that is an 02' C230 with the m111 2.3 litre engine in it (currently at 303,xxx miles on the original motor)

Now for the questions I have, I have had my eye on a face lifted c230 that has been sitting in front of a body shop near me for at least 2 years. I know that it has the 1.8 in it but i want to keep my 2.3(I want my mileage badge from mercedes at 310,000 miles or 500,000km. Am i better off putting my m111 into the face lifted car or using the parts from the face lifted car to fix mine.

As for the damage on my 02, the passenger side frame rail is crumpled and i am going to be making the pulls on it tomorrow to begin getting it straightened out, the rest is thin metal that i can straightento make work, other than that it only needs a new condenser, intercooler, radiator and the supercharger plenum that connects it to the inter cooler, crash bar and the subframe is also cracked. Can I cut the frame off the face lifted car I'm going to buy to fix the crumpled section? Is the subframe the same for the 272 as the m111? Am I better off putting my motor into the face lifted car or using parts from it to fix mine?. Will the dashboard Guage cluster plug and play? Will I have to swap out the wiring harness and computer? And obviously the cosmetics(hood, grille, headlights and bumper) what is my best choice?

What do i need to reset to get it to start because it won't turn over and the lights will not turn off no matter.what I do? I will post more pics in the morning of what I have pulled apart thus far.
