Comfort mode wears out the gearbox faster?

Hello,
I open this topic and apologize if it already exists in the forum.
Тhe topic concerns cars with automatic transmissions
What do you think about the opinions that the Comfort mode wears out the gearbox faster. I come across topics in which it is claimed that starting in second gear increases the friction between the elements of the gearbox and especially the torque converter?
To achieve a smoother shift between gears, the friction elements wear out quite quickly.
Thank you

That is a good question. With that said, I imagine the fluid does most of the heavy lifting. As long as the fluid is in good condition, I imagine the discs actually don't wear that much.

I have noticed that my car does have a rough shift when going into 2nd. However, I first noticed this problem within a few years of owning the car. I don't think it has gotten worse over the years either.

For these cars it is important to change the fluid regularly. The official change interval is 60k km but honestly I think that's a bit on the low side. Lots of people around here believe the whole lifetime fill thing.

Drove in C Mode for years with my W203. 300k miles it lasted. Changed the transmission fluid and filter when you need to and it will serve you very well.
