Lowering My C-Class

How much does it cost or has it cost you for installation of lowering springs on your C-Class? I am buying the springs from autoclass but I want to know how much it costs to install. Thanks

it cost me $300 for installation u better be careful how much your gets lowered cause your big rims u dont wanna rub but u will most likely be ok with h&R or eibach springs unless u go over some big bums.

those rims on your car are hooooot your car too

my sales who has a C32 lower his car with H&R and he has 19's on his car too.

so i think the H&R will do great. don't know about the cost though

I lowered my car originally with H&R Sport Springs, 1.4 in the back and 1.3 in the front... It cost me almost 750 installed... I know I got ripped, but you should be able to get them installed for less then 200... Depending on where you go... Thats with allignment and everything... I am selling my spring kit, they have only had two months ride on them, I got reciepts... I will sell them to you for any decent offer, I am getting coilovers instead of springs... Lemme know... here is a picture of my car lowered... I am also selling odd accessories from my car and other unused parts, lemme know if you need anything...

mmmm... these springs are coo... I like them better then the springs that came with my car, I didnt notice more of a harsher ride with these springs, my car originally had sports package from mercedes, I believe it uses different components then stock, so I it made the ride a little bit smoother and tuck down at high end speeds and at low end speeds it still feels like a lowered car... The springs are pretty good, I just need to go lower in the front, thats the only reason I am going for the more expensive package... But I will sell these springs at a unreasonable rate... Any bid any decent bid!!! I have more picz of the car before and after it was lowered...

omg... going even lower than that...i can hardly imagine

i would bid on it if it wasn't up to my DAD if he want me to lower the car or not.

BTW my DAD want me to change the stock AMG wheel to 19 but he haven't found any good looking rims that would not require spacers for me to put on my car. beside i reject the 19' idea with the 18'

now my DAD is looking for replace my sister's CLK320's stock rims.

my DAD is GREAT

BTW do you have another picture from the front or the back...cuz i want to save it on my computer...

Where in Canada are you located?

Who are you getting to install it? Is it a reputable MB shop? Or some hackshop?

i got a quote from supreme power parts.

250 - springs
150 - install (outsourced)

they don't do alignments.

i heard f1-motorsports in hollywood gives you springs and install for 280.
you can probably haggle a little.

from what i understand, the mercedes c-class is a little easier than other german cars, so you get the same quote as a BMW install, but you can probably work out a deal for less. plus, you get more leverage if you buy the springs from the same place.

good luck

Question

C 320-Sport
Please could you tell me what sized spacers you used front and rear?
Are there any problames associated with having spacers with your rims?

Thanks

Have a question for those that have lowered

How does one deal with the camber problems of lowering in this car?

Are both control arms adjustable for camber so they can be returned to spec?

And $300 does not seem unreasonable for an install. Don't you need to realign at install and then realign after springs settle down in about 200 miles or so?

I just put 19's on my c320 and had it lowered by the Benz dealership. It cost my $380. So far, I dont have any rubbing problems at all. I know I paid a little too much, but I wanted it donea at the same place as all my other work. Besides, I like the service I get from my dealer. Im going to post some pics in the next few days of my car in progress. I still have a LOT to do, but its comin together.

Are you going to the Autowerk BBQ on June 30th in San Diego. Don't know where you are from but noticed the palm trees and their can't be too many places where palm trees grow.
