Hi guys I'm new to this forum and just purchased a 2007 c180K W203.I am currently having intermittent starting problems. I found both my cam magnets leaking and both connectors messed with oil. The car when starts runs fine and there are no warning lights on the dash. I do see that the car has no pig tail wires connected to wiring loom of the cam magnets. Can someone possibly advise. I have not as yet diagnosed the vehicle as I just purchased it a few days ago....Thanks in advance.
Does your car have the M271 I4 engine? If it does, part numbers (new sensors and pigtails) can be found here.
The North American C230 is a V6 for 2007, and they never sold a C180K or C200K in this part of the world. Just want to make sure I'm not sending you down the wrong path.
The sensors can actually be opened up and repaired instead of replaced. Just need to remove the brittle old seals and add a layer of RTV gasket maker on both sides of the donut.
