Eibach sways are on

big thanks to JOSE aka MIG888 for doing the install

sways made a huge difference and I'm not kidding. some say the Eibachs are insanely too stiff, but I guess i'm one of those that loves the no roll and stiffness of the car. it's time to adjust my damper down tho to dial away some impact harshness.

i'm keeping my finger crossed that my rear endlink bushing doesn't pop out since it's old.

sure. common sway bar infos

Brabus: 27mm Front and 23mm Rear
Stock: 20 mm front and 13 mm rear
AMG: 22 mm front and 16 mm rear
Evosport: 24 mm front and 19 mm rear
Eibach: 24 mm front and 22 mm rear
H&R: 26 mm front and 19 mm rear

C32 front endlink is 12mm. All w203 should have the 10mm endlink for the front. rear is the same as all w203.

Good choice. I love mine. Had 'em on for over 4 years now with no complaints about being too harsh.

With all the cool and significant mods you have already done to your car, I’m shocked you didn’t already have sways...j/k Frank!

For the improvement realized, anti-roll bars should be considered a must. You can feel and appreciate them even before getting to that first stop sign in the morning. I installed a pair of H&Rs because I was pleased with their springs, and they have a stealth factor the red Eibachs do not provide. The installation was easy, even before I discovered rlee’s excellent DIY or mig888’s mechanical prowess.

For the relatively small investment required, bars should be near the top of the list of anyone looking to hustle around corners and through the twisty sections. Some may find the decrease of torsional articulation and increase in compliance stiffness uncomfortable, but I seriously doubt they are members of this forum.

Well since this subject is current again, I have the C32 bars, series one, as I believe it's been said they increased the thickness later on.

I'd like to fix the inherent understeer that seems to be common to most
Mercedes. One fix I've been told is a thicker rear bar.

With specs like those on the Eibachs, so thick in the back, do you
feel the car has better balance? I drove an M3 and the balance was perfect.
I don't expect a C230 to handle that well, but a little better would be nice.

Do any of the above mfg's sell the bars seperately other than MBZ?

How thick are the C55 bars? Anyone know?

I always thought that our (very minor IMHO) understeer was a result of the heavy front end pushing out, in combination with wider rear tires that don't lose grip as fast as the narrower fronts?

excellent man...on the note of color, i have the PINK evosport bars. not exactly stealthy, hehe.

I was wondering, where are all you guys (mig888, frank, drex, andy) located and how/when do you meet up? id like to get a bit more into this scene this summer, maybe do some more mods, and really get the car tuned hard, and i was wondering.

We're all pretty spread out in SoCal if you check our locations underneath our screen names... I'm from West Co, Drex's from West LA, Frank's from Diamond Bar, and mig888 is somewhere in the middle pm mig888 for photoshoots

The later version I think you may be referring to the C55 sway bars. I think they did up the rear bar on the C55 or have just used the CLK55 one all together.

the car now feels very well balanced and neutralized the tendency to understeer all together. didn't get a chance to do too much "driving" on the way home, but i'll have more feedback soon. compare to my friend's SMGII coupe with KW v2. I think now, other than the steering feedback I can hang with him no problem. Before on some freeway on ramps, the M3 would just took off while the C32 struggles with understeer.

I love my swaybars! See, I've always said they make a huge difference.

My car = stiffest setting on the dampers, stiffest on the swaybars. I don't mind the harshness at all. I have so much more control of the car than before.

Of course, it even made a bigger difference with the steering wheel!
