has anyone done their own suspension ? ive done a bunch of suspension jobs on my own and friends vw 's, and bmws, i have a shop garage with a lift and everything where i will be doing it, but is there anything special i should know, or any "notorious" pain in the *** problems, or special tools of any kind that i should know about? i heard something about some kind of 3 different sized ruber sleves or "bump stops" of some sort for the back. If anyone could give me their input it would be appreciated. thanks.

nothing special about doing the W203 suspension. It does help to have tool #203.589.00.07.00 for the retaining nut at the top of the strut, but it's not required. Others have managed without it. With a lift and a good compressor like a branick 7200, you should be able to do this in 1.5hrs.
The bumps refer to the size of the rubber pad that sits on top of the rear spring. MB uses this to fine tune the ride height. Ride height is how they set camber.
