I picked up my 05 C230 SS 6spd this past Friday.
It could definitely use some more power and a hand E-brake instead of the foot pedal E-brake, but other than that, I love it. IT's been washed three times since Friday and will get a good coat of carnuba this weekend.
I'm having XM installed tomorrow and I'll post the pics tomorrow night. I decided to go with the newest version of XM Commander
I went with Pewter, Xenon, Sunroof, 6spd.........I couldn't find one with the Harmon Kardon, but it wasn't a priority and I didn't want to wait 10-11 weeks for delivery. I'm not sorry at all for being impatient cause I flat out love this car.
The tint will be going on this weekend, does anyone have a pic of a pewter car with different shades of tint?
Thanks,
Scott

Sold my 310hp 323TQ WRX to get into one of these. But so far the power is livable on the 230.

I've got a friend with a stage IV WRX and that thing moves.
I just like a hand e-brake. This whole foot thing reminds me of being in my moms old 78 Ford Fairmont.
Silver is definitely an awesome color. It's probably the best color for this car. I had three colors I would take (Granite, silver, pewter) all of which look classy IMO.
BTW, That MR2 looks like it was probably pushing over 300hp.......
Thanks,
Scott
Why did you wash it 3 times though?
Skip the carnauba, your arm will fall off. Go Zaino. (See my recent threads in the Detailing forum).
Zaino is an awesome product; however, I've used Super Glaze from The Wax Shop for over ten years and it is awesome too. It's probably the easiest 100% real carnuba wax I've ever used and it doesn't leave any white residue or harm black moldings. It's also great for the windows. IMO better than RainX.
For example:
I bought a Mazda Protege new in 1992 and those cars were known for the paint to peel and/or fade excessively. I paid the car off, turned it into an SCCA ITA car and raced it for several years. The car was sold in 2002 and the paint looked near perfect. All I ever used was Super Glaze and a clay bar every 4-6 months.
I'm definitely not knocking Zaino though, it's a very good product.
