Randomly downshift (auto transmission)from D in manual.
Hello , i have a w203 c230 kompressor.
i got a problem with my transmission.
So when i drive normally my car from D in Comfort goes downshift -1 gear. Example im with 100 km/h in 5 gear. It goes from nothing at 4 gear.and in cluster it shows number 4(of gear).
It doesn't give problems with shifts.
Its wierd.

Check the circuit board attached to the gear shift lever. Guessing there's a break or faulty switch.
Might be easier to simply swap the unit with one from a wrecker. Be sure to match the PNs.
