My Husband replaced the fuel pump (OEM from benzpartshq.com) in our 2007 C230 w203. Ran great for about a week. Then decided she wasn’t going to start again.

WTH?

So he pulled it all apart again. Made sure everything was tight and the pump was seated properly.

Checked the relay- looked fine but went ahead and replaced that. Still wouldn’t start.

Fiddled (cleaned with a tiny brush) with the plug (connector) that goes into the top of the fuel pump…

SHE FIRED RIGHT UP

Ran great for a few days and did it again.

He cleaned the plug again and BOOM she fired up.

Ran for a few more days. Then quit AGAIN. Now we can’t get her started at all.

ANY IDEAS? It’s almost as if the plug is bad. Anyone have any experience with this???

Do you hear the pump priming when you turn the key to position 2?

Also how is the condition of the fuel filter?

We do not hear the pump priming when we turn the key to the second position.

We have not changed the fuel pump. And we plan to in the next month or so. I think what has thrown me for a loop is that multiple times we were able to clean the connector/plug with a tiny brush and get it to run for a few days.

I am a little worried the new pump is bad. There seems to be a slight discoloration to one of the metal prongs on the pump.
