O Brother what Are those?
I removed my consol today to install my phone holder, I used the instruction provided from this site, really cool.
But I noticed something different in my car. something that is not shown in any of the pictures in that thread...
Two wires not connected to anything. One of them had a huge square head. like the one connected to the A/C. there was a sticker with part number FGD MB 203 540 43 10 and some hand writing on it too.
The second one, looked like radio wire or something... no partnumber on it.
what are those? and what are they used for?

if you car is a 2005, those extra wires are for options that are pre-wired to your car....like phone, navigation system, etc.
Do you have any of the above options in your car? Chances are that's what they are.

Unfortunately I hooked everything back, so I can’t take any more pictures. And I guess something is wrong with my camera. Cuz I couldn’t take a single picture that isn’t blurry or out of focus.
My car is a 2002, a friend’s of dad ordered it for us from Germany. The papers he gave to us do show that there is a “pre wiring” for the mobile phone. But last time I took my car to the dealer here to install OEM phone they said my car isn’t wired for mobile phone. (they looked in the trunk for some fiber optic cable)
