steering controls and presets

I have seen questions about this for other models but on a 2005 c class I wondered if anyone can use the controls on thier steering wheel to switch between preset radio stations as opposed to seeking for the next station?

thought there was an issue with this. that you can only use it for seek and not presets.

I have read some things about it for other models but I could not find anything on it for the 2005. I guess it remains an issue?

2004 E55 AMG WAGON

There has been lots of threads on this subject. In short, the 2005's DO NOT let you scroll through presets on the steering wheel like the previous cars do. It sucks I know.

thats why there has been so much discussion about it. 01-04's you can set in the settings menu, whether you want to scroll thru presets or station search with the steerining wheel controls. the 05's you are unable to.
