Hi everyone, I have been experiencing an issue with my 2001 c200k. Sometimes the car drives just fine with s/c kicking in, but sometimes it stops working in 3rd gear with something like a missfire and the sc shuts off completely. If I let the car for a night for example, the next day it drives fine for a while again (with boost) and sc dies again. No codes were found, my service guy said there was a leakage, fixed it but the problem continues. Now he suspects from MAF and MAP sensors. Tried resetting the air flap, didnt work.
any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. 🙏🏻😞

There is a common issue with the recirculation flap which opens slow. Close the flap with your finger and release it, it must snap open. If not, clean the gears, remove the motor and grease the bushings inside.
Calibration of flap: Ignition on, wait 20s, ignition off, 5 sec, ignition on 50 s, ignition off, 5 s

thanks, I have once dissassembled the box which the flap is attached to and tried to clean inside of it but never tried to open the flap itself. Mine also closes slowly as you mentioned rather than “snapping”
