Oil filter question

I have a 2005 C230 and I plan on changing my own oil. I am trying to figure out if anyone else makes a replacement oil filter or will I have to get one from the stealership? I went to my local parts store today and looked in their books and not one manufacturer listed a part # for my model. If anyone knows of a cross reference # or has any experience with this please let me know. Thanks!

I think u can use BOSCH. they're dirt cheap (compering to the dealer) and I think those what MB use in their cars.

Come on, they are not that expansive even from the dealership. I bought mine for $13.25!

I change the oil and filter at the dealer for 35 bucks. While I can do that at BOSCH service center for 17 bucks.

I would suggest you get the original mb filter. They are not too bad and they come with all the replacement O-Rings for the filter element holder.
