Hi guys, I'm new on here and my old chicken chaser C200 has developed a problem.
It's a 2003 model with 107k miles on the clock. Rusty as hell underneath but stillnpasses the UK annual MOT.
Essentially it will turn over once without firing and then appears to stop any power going to the starter.
We've run diagnostics and the one permanent code points to the ME SFI being faulty.
A couple of questions if you will,
Is it worth replacing the module?
If so what sort of cost is a new module and roughly how long should it take.
I'm not particularly attached to the car as I bought it 4 years ago off eBay for £925. But it has up to now been a worthy back up to my main car.
The plan was originally to do a Top Gear type of road trip across Europe in to Turkey do some site seeing and back again... but Covid got in the way... I'd still like to do that if it's financially viable to save the car...
