2001 Mercedes Benz c240
2001 Mercedes Benz c240 non-4matic p0600 p0720

The other day I was driving in the rain and I hit a puddle shortly after I had to hit puddle about an hour or two later my car started throwing all types of lights ABS / BRAKE LINE WEAR / Esp etc my speedometer wouldn't work and it would lock in what ever gear it was in till I turn it off and let it reset seemed like it was happening when my car warmed up. .. but no check engine. Shortly after that the check engine light came on I got p0600 and p0720. I looked it up and seen it had to do with modules not communicating with each other and a speed sensor. My c240 only has 79k so I was praying it wasn't the conductor plate. I also read online that it could be the wheel speed sensors that they could be dirty and I know my wheel speed sensors weren't broken or anything. So before replacing the conductor plate I decided to go to the car wash and really spray under all of each of my wheel wells cleaning those speed sensors and getting all that dirt out of there. After I went home and went to the passenger side footwell and found and disconnected the TCM removed the connectors and plugged them back in. After that I loosened up all the ground locations under the hood and wiggled them around and tried to get some friction on them and then tightened them all back up. After all that I started the car and the check engine light went away I'm pretty sure or I accidentally cleared it but since then the car hasn't done it again and I've been driving it for almost 8 hours. I hope this helps someone that got the same codes. This is also really only for the 722.6 transmission.

Did you replace the pilot bushing with the latest version? Only the latest version doesn't leak transmission fluid. The part is pretty inexpensive at the dealership.
