Hi, I am considering buying a 2005 C230K, and wanted to add Sirius Radio. I read somewhere that all MBs are now pre-wired for it, but there is also a $679 Sirius Radio option.

That seems a tad expensive. Has anyone bought this radio yet? Is it better to go aftermarket?

yes a couple have the OEM Sirius here. if you get OEM, it will work seamlessly with your integrated steering wheel controls, song info will pop up on the MFD, aftermarket wont. i have XM in my coupe because my COMAND unit didnt have the SAT button. i wanted OEM sirius. anyhow, also consider labor at $100. i think the install is something like 3-4 hours.
