It is true that the mirros are heated but they are not always on, only if it's cold enough will it turn on, the wiper nozzles are heated....

You're gonna love driving your c in the winter...
I've got two questions:

1) Why not buy the whole winter teflon wiper blade itself instead of the replacing only the wiper part of the blade?

2) Why get a smaller sized blade?

Here's my story today....I thought I share them with you guys...... It snowed BIG time here in Chicago today, and I decide to drive to local Discount tires store to get some snow tires. There's about 1~2 inch of snow outside....so i drove out with my OEM Michilin Pilot Sports....hoping it would get me to the store. It does turn fine.....and horrible when I apply brakes....I could just see ABS working.....and car slowing down extremely slowly......Then on flat surface...it would spin moderately for 2-3seconds.....before the car starts to move. Worest part is, on the way to Discount tires....I got to a small hill...I say about 20-30 degrees incline. I was able to follow the traffic up this hill. But when traffic comes to a stop...and I had to move from a dead stop.....it was IMPOSSIBLE! I am spinning tires in one place, couldn't get my car going ( I applied just enough gas to keep RPM at 1000-12000RPM).....Going no where for atleast 15-20seconds...until the car slowly to get going after my rear swing to the right a little bit (It always wants to swing to the right, I don't know why). SUVs behind me was honking at me.......but there was nothing I could do.

So I got to Discount Tires and got my a set of Mille Meglia Bello's 17X8 with Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22's.......drove out.......it was night and day differents. No problem braking, and on similar incline hill......tires only spinned for like 1 second or so....then caught traction and start moving......it was great!!

I highly recommand snow tires for winter~

You can change the blade only, I changed the whole assembly and opted for 1 inch smaller blades. Longer blade makes it a lot more difficult for the wiper motor to work if there's snow or ice on the windshield...

A Canadian Driver review of the Pilot Alpin PA2 tires can be found here.

Except for behavior on ice (on which I can't comment, because I have yet to experience icy roads), I agree with the reviewer on all points based on the 1,600 miles I have driven since installing the tires. These are good compromise tires, and they got me through our first major snowfall without any problem.

It's not winter in DC! 75 degrees F in the mid-November? This weather is unreal.

This will be my first winter with a RWD car. I ordered a set of wheels and tires from tirerack. I was going to get some steel wheels, but I went with a cheap wheel and tire combo. Total with shipping was $620.

Sport edition D3 wheels (easy to clean)
Dunlop Graspic DS-2

I'm going to put them on the first of December, so I can't give you any feedback as to the ride.

I'm in a hill part of Virginia. Last winter two people I know could not make it up the street with their OEM tires on a C230. I know what I got wil be better, but I hope they are not too noisy.

I use High Perf All Seasons on my Stock 17's and have no problems navigating in the snow in the C. **** I have two RWD cars and never have a problem in either. And no dry traction was not severly effected by going to the All Season!

Winter has indeed arrived! I was in Detroit on business yesterday, and it was 65 degrees at 10PM last night, and snowing and 27 degrees when I boarded my plane today!!!

Time to park the car. The ground here was white when I landed.
