2001 C240

Bleeding

What size bleeding tube do I need to cover the entire screw? The one I have just covers the nipple and that is not even tight enough. I’m assuming that this may be my issue. I don’t know, because I tried two- man and still cannot bleed the system and still have no brakes. So maybe if I cover the whole entire valve with the tube. But what size? I don’t want to keep ordering wrong stuff all online.

Measure the nipple with calipers and buy the next standard size smaller. I bought tubing at Lowe’s / big box store. Have you watched yt vids?

Yea I watched vids, but didn’t get a size from them. Thanx for reply. I just didn’t want to buy the wrong size and figure someone on here has already done this and know.

I just replaced two calipers and hoses and did only gravity bleeding without problems. You have probably a different issue?

Sounds like you are pressure bleeding and the hose size at the nipple doesn't matter as much. I am guessing yoir brake master cylinder is going bad.

Im gonna research symptoms. But while I have y’all guys attention, I will see if you can answer this… The rear lower control arm wouldn’t line up with the bolt hole on the knuckle. It took hours, help, crow bar and a destroyed bushing. The arm was just bought, so it couldn’t have been that and bushings couldn’t have been that bad prior. Could it be an alignment?
