Hi All, I am a newish owner of a 2002 C320 wagon and have been giving it the shakedown the past week and came across this issue I was hoping you might help with. I am getting ambient heat dumped on my right leg from the transmission tunnel and under the dash when my a/c is on and it seems to be coming from the heater pipes. Is there supposed to be insulation in this area? It is not from the vents it is from behind this panel. It surely seems like there should be a big chunk of insulation there. Thanks in advance!
Answering my own question - Went to the junkyard to look at other cars and don't see it on any there either. I'm surprised there's no isolation for the heat coming off these pipes.
