Light in trunk, one long, one short blink repeat. What does it mean?

Obviously something to do with the rear SAM. Anybody know how to decipher the code? The light will not stay on constant.

Did you replace the bulb with an LED? If so, you need to add a resistor in parallel.
If you're still using the stock bulb, the bulb might be on its way out and also not drawing enough juice (worn filament). Fastest way to test is to swap it with the dome bulb. Same size.

Yup, died wouldn't start. I'm afraid I may have fried the diodes in the rectifier trying to jump start it,
(duh, momentarily had cables backwards, big spark) and then I was trying to bang on the starter and
may have damaged the CPS. Somehow I wonder did I always do **** this stupid or is it because
I'm getting older.
Well, see what happens.
Where can I get a rectifier for a Valeo 432675 alternator? Hope I don't need it.
