brakes squealing at 2000 miles

brakes squealing at 2000 miles
Hi!
I'm pretty sure this is not normal, and my husband says that it might be a warranty issue, although brakes are not normally covered by warranty.
But what should I do if my front brakes are squealing when slowing down from 25 mph to zero ? At higher speed braking: no squealing.
Is this a warranty thing, since I don't expect brakes to start degrading so fast on a brand new car ?
Any advice appreciated, before I call the Service people on Monday.
