2002 C230 Speedometer/Odometer not working
I have a 2002 C230 that has been sitting in the drive way for over a year. I jump started it with the help of AAA. Since then the Speedometer is not working. ABS and CEL are on. Google search tells me there is an Over Voltage Protection relay with a 10amp fuse that could have blown, which will cause similar symptoms. I couldn't find the OVP relay. Is there one on a 2002 C230? If yes, where is it? Can someone share a picture of the location?

Did you charge the battery once you jumped it? Get it tested?
Did it sit in the rain? Any water intrusion in the area of the rear
SAM or under the cover just forward of the spare tire area?
I've had this happen several times due to water and or battery that is
near the end of it's life. And one time the instrument panel refused to come back to life.
In fact it wouldn't start at all! But that went away after it dried out a bit but the instrument panel would not come back.
Replacing it is a complicated process since data is stored in it that must match data in other
places in the car. Simply replacing it without copying results in it reading 999999I found a place called Palo Alto Speedometer
http://www.paspeedo.com/ who is able to service these and transfer the data
from one to another. They were able to read the data in mine, and said they didn't find a problem with it...
huh? When I reinstalled it, it miraculously came back to life. I lived closeby at the time.
But start with the battery! These cars shut down various functions as the battery is failing.
