Mission accomplished!
I have to learn how to NOT be so careful with this car! Everything so far has been VERY simple and yes, the pictures are good enough to accomplish the swap.
What I plan to do (once I get a hold of my cousin's digital camera) is place MORE pics on this thread so that everybody can see a step by step (picture) tutorial. Citron did a GREAT job with the pics, but just for people that feel they "can't" do it, it is actually quite simple.
Excuse my ignorance at the beginning. I think it was just the idea of breaking the housing on a my BENZ and having to replace that housing that was scaring me. Don't exactly make TONS of money where it wouldn't be anything to replace it...LOL.
Alright, I hope to have pics for all of you by this coming weekend. Weekdays are tough for me to take pics.

How-To: Change w203 Mirror Blinkers (With Pictures)
Hey Guys,
Some jerk cracked my blinker so I needed to replace it. After reading a few posts about how to remove the mirror assembly, the mirror itself, etc, I managed to work it off and now that the cover is off, I can see just how easy it is to remove. So here's a walkthrough for those of you who have yet to figure out how the cover attaches. Now I know there's already one stickied but I thought another perspective and some more pics cant hurt.
My mirror before the replacement:
Before you begin, adjust the mirror using your mirror switch so its in an even/neutral position, allowing the mirror cover to slip off in a later step.
Now bend the mirror backwards by 90 degrees. Its handy to have someone help you but its definitely possible to accomplish solo. You will now see the internal components of the mirror assembly. We're interested in the metal tab on the right hand side. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry it towards the left about a quarter inch. At the same time, pull the mirror cover toward the rear of the car (assuming you have it bent backwards).
You only need to pull the mirror cover back by a half inch. Take your screwdriver out and let the mirror bend back slowly. You will now see that the casing has come off a bit.
Easily slide the mirror cover off.
Just a pic of the mirror with the casing off.
And the other side.
Change the blinker by removing the two screws, popping out the blinker unit, and replacing it.
Slide the mirror cover back on and giggle it until it clicks. You're done!
Hope that helps. I know I would have liked some pics before I started, reading some of the walkthroughs without pics can be confusing.

Hello Citron230K_03. Just to say many thanks for taking the trouble to put this on the net - I was really struggling with this and would have probably ended up damaging the car before taking it into a dealer without the instructions. Much appreciated.

A lot of props to nickgailloux.
It was his post with the pictures that really gave me the confidence to take a screwdriver to my car and start prying delicate pieces of metal inside my mirror. And I'm proud to say that I successfully completed the transformation.
Thanks again for the detailed guide.

The plastic looks like it cracked on the bottom inside portion of the mirror blinker on my 2005's. It's not noticable from looking straight on. Only from the top, is where you can see there is a crack along the bottom portion of the mirror blinker. I'll eventually do it, just don't feel the extra need to do it right now.

Vitamin C sighting !
I'm going a little sorry Drex !
So I was hanging out with my new super-cool SA, and favorite MB Tech, and favorite Parts Guy at the dealership yesterday, and we were talking about C-Coupés and how there's only mine and this other funky colored green one that has all the Euro-spec mods. So I asked: "it wasn't Citron colored was it?"
And they all in unison cried out: "yes!" And my SA says: "yeah, it had a Vitamin C license plate."
"That's Doug!" I replied. "So when was he here?"
"About a month ago" my SA says.
So there you go! There has been a CitronC230K_03 sighting in San Diego !
OK... back to Doug's Mirror Housing Removal thread.

These cars are easy to work on
"if you know how to do it".
And thanks to the forums, I now do!
Alway a hidden clippy or something.
Not like you can just jump in blind.

Thanks guys
Hi from the UK. I've been trying to find out how to change a cracked side (wing) mirror and after an internet search came accross this site and forum - I can now change this easily which has saved me over £300 at the local dealership which sold me the car.
Thanks again,
Thanks again,

I'll add to this...
What we did is cut a little section of rod stock to hold the mirror "open" while you do your work...
After this work - I bought some POZIDRIVE tools...that is what the screw is in this part - better for assembly line work...and why I originally ground that little pphillips - go get a positive engagement...
This was a great "third hand" idea from my Dad...
