Pricing Question?? 2005 C230 Ss
So I visited the dealer in West Palm Beach a week ago and haggled with them for a while. Then at the end of my negotiating I told him I had a MB Love coupon that I need to use by 12/31/04. So he went ask spoke to whomever and he came back stating to me that the exact car I wanted would take 7-8 weeks to get it here. (right before 12/31/04 - he was trying to get me to buy now)
So I told him thanks and right before I walked out he ran me down and told me that he was going to order the exact car I wanted so that it can be here by 12/31/04. He told me that he will put my name on the car and that there are no string attached. I never signed anything and he told me what his best offer was and if I wanted the car come back and see him the 1st week in December to finalize the deal.
I am very set on my options that I want and here they are:
2005 C230 SS
Brilliant silver
Automatic
Entertainment package
Lighting package
Sunroof package
Split fold down rear seats
MSRP: $35,880
Invoice: $33,522
His best offer:
car: $34,219
plus tax and other stuff: $2,200
= $36,419
I am putting $4,500 cash down plus the MB love coupon $1,500
= $6,000
I am looking into getting the car down to $35,900 out the door, is this realistic price in south florida?? And have any of you ever heard a dealership ordering a car without a deal?? Thanks in advance for the help.....

..then when they see that I have a real good paying job for my age they just play off the "young punk" look....There are plenty of dealerships around my area so I will be looking around...when I started looking at this car the target out the door price that I wanted was $35,300...then after having such a bad interaction with the West Palm Beach dealer I have a real bad taste in my mouth....I am going to keep looking real hard for my target price but the issue is that my LMT coupon expires 12/31/04 and every where I go no dealership has the exact car I am looking for....very frustrating..
..The west palm beach dealership is trying to corner me since they know the exact car I want is nowhere to be found for some reason...hopefully Anaheim Drew will hook me up with a good dealer in the area where I can get a $35,500 price....
by the way something I left out from my previous post is that I will be leasing for 39 months / 15,000 miles per year.....plus I am looking for the charcoal leather inserts for my interior

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I was potentially buying on 12/31/03 (last year) and it was rather dead in the showroom that day but boy were they ready to deal! In the end, I ended up buying on 1/31/04 and got a record of a deal due to the last day of the month and poor weather in Jan keeping customers from coming to the dealer.
Thanks in advance for any feedback....
