PS PUMP IS ACTING UP

PS PUMP IS ACTING UP

so i was driving and my PS pump had started smoking and my power steering got rough. i had figured it was jus the pump so i got a new one and replaced it and it is still having the same problems either not pumping fluid or the pressure is jus not there. would the steering rack be a problem at this point too? or could it be in the lines for the PS pump. i don’t really know a bunch and don’t wanna jus start rippin on **** that isn’t the issue

You likely have a leak at your power steering hoses. Most likely the pressure hose is leaking spraying pressurized ps fluid to the exhaust manifold or the engine. The leak is dripping fluid onto the exhaust manifold or the engine. If the pump has been replaced, inspect it for leaking connectors.
