Engine won't start fault codes C1038 and C1022

I have an 2006 c200 wagon with the m271 engine. The engine won't start, it cranks and sputters but doesn't run. I've ran a scan tool and got o2 sensor code, deleted it and ran it again and got the codes C1038 and C1022. Before it fully died on me like this it was idling rough, and the day before it died I was driving home from work and it lost all power, turned its self off but started again instantly and had no power loss, but after parking it up I came to start it the next day but it didn't start at all and hasn't started since.

Does anyone know what steps I can take to maybe get it working again as I need the car

These are the two codes i got

Checked the cables that plug into the ECM?.. are they contaminated with oil?.. if they are, then are your cam magnet solenoids in the front of the engine leaking oil?

I haven't checked the plugs, but i will do so as soon as i get some free time. The cam magnet solenoids did have some old oil on them but I cleaned them up, for some reason every car I've had with the m271 engine always has oil on the cam magnet solenoids

if there's oil in the ecm plugs how should I go about cleaning them? Will a simple spray with a contact cleaner work?

Electrical cleaner spray or isopropyl alcohol should be OK to clean.. but that is a very bad sign because it would mean that the oil has migrated all through the cable harness, and the oil can now migrate into the ECM and cause untold damage!..

I tried to glue and seal my Cam magnet solenoids, but they still leaked!..
so i ended up replacing them, and hopefully they will stay dry for a few more years..
