How can you tell if your AC Compressor is good or bad?
Hello All,
So How can you tell if your AC Compressor is good or bad?
Engine running it appears to be spinning continously.
Was working but slowly faded no refrigerant in the system after 20+ years.
I'm tying to refill it myself and it's not taking it in.
I know it needs to engage to do so.
Is there a clutch? Or does it use some other mechanism to engage and disengage?
How can I get it to engage or is it toast?
A: turn on low side pressurize. If pressure doesn't reach 60 lbs. put bottle in 125F pan of water,
and fill till it reaches 60lbs, close the low side and start the engine. Bamm.
Add rest of freon.
