C230 V6 has very loud whining noise.
I have a loud whining noise in the motor. I have removed serpentine belt and noise still there.
I had a automatic transmission specialist look at it if the trans is at fault. He said nothing wrong with the trans.
Does anyone know of this problem or had this problem. I just would like to know something about it before the engine gets pulled apart or if it is even worth repairing.

Where would I find this. If it is operated by the serpentine belt it won't be that as I have had the belt off and noise still persists.
I found it . But I have no engine check light or any warning lights. I will put a stethoscope on it today when I get time.
