Suddenly emergency brake applied with no click. Then found broken piece on floor as photo. Baught a piece online and a pin. but check the parts diagram. suddenly found another parts with teeth also see red circled and I didn't find on my car. and two different diagram. Now I'm confused
The piece that you bought looks like #50 in your diagram, and does look like the correct piece. However, there are 2 versions. This is why you give the VIN to the dealer when buying parts. They'll know which version goes into your car.
The good news is that the piece doesn't do the locking. It's just to give the clicking noise. Your parking brake pedal will still work as normal.
Not sure why there's a 2nd piece with the notches. Can you take a photo of where the part broke off?
