a few questions

Well, basically two questions...I have a 2005 C class sedan...I got it a week ago; since two days, I recently noticed that whenever I give my left indicator (not a lane change indication, but full indicator past resistance point), I hear a squeak whenever I move the steering. It's not like that when the right indicator is on. Am I too paranoid, or should I get this fixed? I'm afriad it's a brand new vehicle, and I don't want repairs on it already. lol.

Secondly, a quick break-in question. So far, I've driven around 850 kilometers. Until 800 kilometers, I wasn't taking the car beyond 3000 rpm...Redline goes from 6-7k rpm....However, today, I was on the highway, and I was intermittently going to around 3500-3700 rpm. Is that ok for the engine? I probably did it maximum of 5 mins per each time I did it. Some people say I shouldnt go above 4k rpm, while I heard someone say it was 3k rpm...at around 3700 rpm, I was going at 160 km/hr, and I didn't even realize it!

According to MB, all engines are ran on the test-bed for 20,000 km before they're installed onto their respective vehicles. Hence, there is no need to break in an MB engine. Same applies to BMW engines.

That is what I was told anyway.

According to the owner's manual. Vary speed, don't drive over 4000rpm, and don't push more than 2/3 of the gas pedal during break-in period(1500km)......so don't worry, your car is fine

Just redline it 100 times before 1000 miles.
