W203 DVD comands
We were able to obtain a couple of DVD based comand units (4, to be exact) for the newest C-classes.
In case anyone is interested in upgrading his 2005 W203 with a DVD comand, we kindly ask you to contact us at steve@mbenznl.com. The units have an integrated navigation drive - not separate as in the W211s - and come with 6 months warranty.
It will be possible to get it installed during Steve's US trip in November - San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and maybe in Houston and Chicago as well.

First of all, the W203 DVD comand has an integrated navigation drive (not separate, as the E-class has). Second, the nav.drive in the W203 DVD comand is only meant for navigation DVDs. In case you want to be able to watch TV / DVD, you would need TV tuner (MOST based) which you can connect to the command.

FYI, Euro W293 COMAND is made by diiferent company than the US W203 COMAND.
Also EURO COMAND doesn't have navi inside ( maybe I am worng)- just CD drive which has slot visible above screen similar to W211 COMAND.
SAT radio will not work or other functions.
