You know, if you take the time to write STFF, a simple yes or no would be nice.

I havent seen Keyless Go on a manual transmission. I cant see how that would work given that the chance of pressing "OFF" are not trivial. So i would say not likely.

By the same token, it can be done but the car would be much more like a W209 than a W203. The main components that pose the most problems are the gear shift, the ignition switch and the door locks.

If you can get those items running then the rest isnt that hard. The keyless go system is in fact an isolated system which runs its own network.

That is however the EASY part. The changes to FDOK and your vehicle records are critical for your new GREEN KEY which will activate the new ignition switch from scratch. Then you can order the keyless go key fobs with a valid request from Germany whilst you continue to use the conventional keys.

From a hardware point of view there is no real limitation, it is largely that Mercedes controls the software security functions and without a matching software setup you have no hope of returning the car back to functional order.

No, I really mean it. If you can spare 3 grand, I would not mind getting the system together and testing everything for you. I was thinking of testing this myself at one point also.

The only parts you have to pay yourself would be the new CLK Keyless Go AMG transmission shift and CLK Keyless Go EIS.

With those items in place you have half a chance.

Given that I have a dealer to sign my FDOK for me .....

I am using my friends 2003 CLK 55 AMG - be aware that 2004, 2005 CLK doesnt work on PRE-2004 W203 ..... it's probably obvious but it needed saying.

Here is a sample.

Part Number Designation Code Qty Price

A 203 267 40 11 9C05.....BOOT 117.30
A 209 267 02 24.............FLOOR SHIFT MECHANISM 297.32
A 203 267 22 88.............MODE TOGGLE 56.10
A 209 545 08 08.............IGNITION 234.09
====================================
Approximate Total: 704.81 Euro

I would have a guess and say that there is already close to $1000 USD right there. The worst thing is that some of these are DEALER ONLY.
