Hi guys.
New to the forum and a car enthusiast. Just got myself a nice C240 ( W203 ) to practise my mechanics on and have some fun at the weekends driving.

I understand the oil filter housing ( according to YouTube ) has 3 O Rings on it. A small, medium and large.
On most part places seem to show that their filters come with 5 rings like this...



Obviously finding and replacing the the small and large ring is easy. However regarding the middle ring, is it best to take it off the filter housing and compare size-wise to the parts I will be buying above? As you can see, the large and small is distinguishable but the rest aren't
