SAM Issues - no parklights / indicators. Please help
Hello,
I had water get into my fuse box / SAM Compartment on my C180 Kompressor. The thermo fan was on constantly (even with the car off).
I removed the SAM unit and cleaned it as best i could with contact cleaner. Upon re-installation there were 4 sockets on the SAM unit which i could not find a plug for (numbered 14, 23, 24 and 25).
Silly me didn't take any photos before i removed it.
I now have no indicators, park lights, and a 'coolant level low' warning.
I have looked and looked and looked - i can't find any more plug's without a home.
Could anyone please advise? Is this normal? Do i have a faulty SAM unit ?
Thankyou very much and glad to see this forum still active![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Post describing my work on my front SAM
You may find some helpful information in this thread. In post #11, there is a photo of a used SAM that I removed from another C230 showing the various connectors in place. Unfortunately, it may not show the connectors in sufficient detail to help you.
Based on my experience, it is possible that one or more of the connectors could have slipped down into the compartment that holds the SAM. I recommend that you remove the SAM and feel around in the compartment for connectors that may have slipped. If you don't find any, it is likely that your car didn't have options that correspond to the open slots in the SAM. In that case, it is likely that your SAM is defective.
