Fuse #40/Teleaid power drain. Please help!!
Hello. I brought a 2001 C320 and it has a power draw. I narrowed it down to Fuse #40 which correlates to the Teleaid module. IF I unplug that fuse, the teleaid/sos malfunction appears on the dash and doesnt go away AT ALL, I looked online and found that even unplugging the teleaid in the trunk will not help. How could I get rid of this parasitic draw please?
Im also suspecting the front sam may be iffy as well when I was searching for answers as the ESP fault is on. Sometimes, BAS fault will come on as well. Please does anyone know what I should do? Thanks!
I also saw that this mechanic on YT found another c class with the EXACT problem I have. Its a two part video but in the end, the problem wasnt fixed and after digging deeper, it wasnt the key. Plus my key has never been programmed.

One workaround since I assume Tele-Aid doesn't work anymore is to simply pull the fuse, then disconnect the module. You'll need to "join" the newly disconnected ends of the fibre optic network, which is actually pretty easy. Requires a small "bypass" piece of FO line which costs a few bucks.
To be honest, Tele-Aid is basically obsolete in the modern era. You can pretty much remove and recycle the unit.
If there's an extra "screen" in the instrumental cluster for Tele-Aid, this can be disabled/removed with a computer such as Xentry.
