To those who own the C230K Sport Sedan how does the standard system compare to the upgraded H/K System.How is the sound quality on the base system is it clear and how does it sound when you turn it up, any distortion.I am not sure if I should opt for the Entertainment Package or not if I do decide to purchase an 05 C230K Sport Sedan.I do not listen to as much music as I use to mainly alot of talk radio.Thought's and opinion's are appreciated.

Thinking about 05 C230K with 5-Speed Auto,Sunroof Pkg,6-Disc CD-Changer,Midnight Blue.

 

It is really good, it is great compared to the old BOSE system. I dont know the exact specification of the system, but it is worth the money.

 

if you listen mainly to talk radio, I don't think you would need the h/k system. the h/k system is pretty good. my ears would be ringing after listening to about an hour of ac/dc music. It's pretty powerful.

 

I think the H/K option is worth the added cost. The sound system sounds great. The only downside is that with so much bass, the trunk opener button rattles a whole lot. I have a piece of paper holding it in tight. I have heard of other guys on the forum using black tape.

I listen from classical to hip-hop/r&B and all types of music sound awesome on the system. Hope this helps.

 

i was realy disapoointed by the bass, i expect a deep feeling from it, esp if it has a sub.

do u guys listen to it in the the "surround" feautre under the audio settings?

 

It is sooo much better than the normal one. I had a 2005 C240 loaner that had no H/K, and the sound literally gave me a headache. I thought it sounded horrible compared to my H/K... i think it's well worth it.
