Issues after dead battery.. 2006 C230 Sport
Hi all!! My 2006 C230 Sport with 85k original miles battery died after leaving headlights on. Jumped the battery and car started right away. Now the issues.... Since the jump, my headlights stay on high beam, my windshield wipers are no longer working(new wiper motor installed a year prior), no horn, no directionals, my outside temp shows 185, my brake service light is on(brakes were done 1 month prior), AC/heat doesn't work, check engine light is on and it won't let me check for codes. I tested all the fuses and they are all fine. I'm going crazy trying to figure this out. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
Edit* I forgot to mention that the battery also dies within a few days and it takes almost a full day on trickle charger only to reach around 90% charge.
Thank you,
Kosta

How old is the battery? If it doesn't hold a voltage of 12.0-12.8V after the car if shut off (wait maybe 2-4h), the battery is toast. I do remember certain things wouldn't turn off when my battery was dead.
Also sounds like you may fried the front SAM, but I would check the battery health first. Did you attach the positive cable before negative when jumping? Pretty sure it applies to your year too, but the earlier W203s really do not like getting connected "negative then positive".

Thx for the reply. Battery was replaced 5 years ago. Bought from the MB dealer. Yes, I connected it correctly and this is why I am stumped. How do I check if my front SAM is fried?

If the SAM is cooked, there will be physical damage. Remove the SAM and pull the PCB out, and look for scorch marks.
The good news is that these modules are readily available. I'd look into a local wrecker or online. Be sure to match the PN, as I am sure there are different versions of this thing out there.
