Angry CD Changer Question???

I am having CD Changer problems, the same ones that I have seen other Mercedes owners post about. The CD Changer quit recognizing the cd's. When I put a full magazine in, it says MAG. EMPTY. My car is in the shop right now, and they are checking it out along with a couple of other things. My CD Changer is a factory changer, but I purchased it myself, and had the dealer install it, then this happens. They called and told me that they think it is an internal problem, and I can tell that it is something that I am going to have to take care of myself (the car is under warranty, but the cd changer was added, so it is not covered). I definitely do not want to buy one from them, and truthfully, I don't even want that same changer if at all possible (I have heard from people that have had to have three changers replaced because they kept having the same problem). Longwinded I know, but my questions is: are there aftermarket changers that I can buy that will plug in to the factory wiring, and function the exact same as the factory one (with all of the displays and everything)? If so, could someone please tell me which ones?

Wow, bump after only a few hours? There have been posted lists of the aftermarket CD changers that will work with your factory setup... you may want to search for that.

If you purchased an original Mercedes product, there should be a warranty with it. For some years (I believe prior to 2004), the accessories added to the car take on the warranty of the car.
