Citron - congrats on your new toys, love the pic updates. I especially like the phone, too bad there isn't anything for the PalmOne Treo 600. I was actually surprised to see SMS working also.
Heard this past weekend was busy, since there was a lot of installs for Steve. Also, Steve probably enjoyed the warmer weather, considering we hit him with snow his last day in Chicago.
Well, good luck wtih the mods and keep us posted.

yeah, well it was freaking cold. i dont know, in the 50's is cold to me. plus it was raing pretty much all day staurday, and watching steve install in the rain it quite a site. congrats on your toys.
steve was quite busy, esepcially on saturday. there were alot of scheduled installs. plus all the troubleshooting they had to do on my car, i thought i was going to drive away disappointed, but i didnt. steve is the man!!!!![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
im pleased with the SMS capability. i dont think i can send SMS though. only read. which is fine. im still learning all the quirks. the best is VR. though i need to study that a bit more. ive programmed several names for calling. i can change radio stations, and cd's and tracks with ease. its the little things, that are still getting me. when i say something and it says cancel. i need to learn what to say and what not to say. its all good.

Along with your the bi-xenon, put that next on your list.

i cant figure that out. i go to the little arrow, then over to SMS. if there are no messages in my phone, it just says, no messages. if there are messages i can read them, and then delete them. there is no icon to reply.

Erwin, thanks for the thumbs up...it wouldn't have been possible without you. If all US hosts were as active in communicating with everybody involved with a parts trip, my sister would be without work...
Douglas, Who installed your comand (I know it wasn't me)?...being able to SEND SMSs is a variable setting that can be (de) activated with stardiagnose...
Sunday was less busy indeed (and a lot warmer/dryer outside) which is why I asked you to come back to have the phone and PTS thing figured out then.
Dimitri, unless the dealership goes into the comand related screen with the variable TV settings in their stardiagnose, there is no way they can mess anything up...and IF they ever mess up, we can reprogramm the comand again (which requires the comand to be send over though)...

Steve,
My wife and I would like to thank you for doing such a good job. We are putting together our second mod list for your '05 trip to Erwin's place

Forgot to mention, now that I have the folding mirrors but more importantly the convex mirrors, the passenger side mirror now has auto dim. If you remember, auto dim was only on the driver's side mirror and interior rear view mirror. Steve pointed out that this auto dim was one of the cool features of having the convex mirrors, of course in addition to seeing your blind spots. Now all my mirrors are auto dim, that's really cool.

Also, additional wiring is required to connect the mirror to the control module. Does Steve offer this kind of conversion?
