The past couple of weeks Ive been troubleshooting my c230 after it left me stranded in a downtown bank parking lot. Towed her home and have been trying to diagnose the issue.
I parked and went to the bank and when I came back it wouldn't start.
Issues: turn key to position 2 to start and nothing happens. No crank no start. Rear brake lights stay on.
Troubleshooting so far:
Checked front sam fuses and they all are ok. Checked the starter relay and it clicks.
Checked to see if the infamous ESL issue but steering seems fine and it has not locked in the “locked position”.
Ordered an Emulator as on a rare occasion the ESL will still brake in unlocked position. Plugged in the emulator still nothing.

My question is would the alarm siren cause the car not to start?
Also, under circuit 54, what should I check for? Could it be the rear sam corroded and causing me this issue?
