ticking sound?

Today as I was driving, I pulled to a stop and I noticed a ticking sound coming from the left hand side of the dash. I turned off my radio, and it was still there. Eventually, after like 5 miles or so, the ticking sound was gone. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks!

I had a ticking sound coming from below the steering wheel down by my feet. It would start when I started the car and continued for awhile. I took it to the dealer and they said it the vent by my feet was broken. They said that the vents are run by a motor and when you start the car they try to go to a certain position but can't. I assume they meant they try to close when they are already closed and they keep trying and eventually break, that is why it clicks. Hope this makes sense. They also said it was pretty common.
